I had a scare yesterday. I was picking up Noa from school and on my way to meet Fine at home (she rides the bus in the afternoon). I was going North on Tracy Blvd. and was stopped at the intersection before crossing Grant Line blvd. All of a sudden, SMACK!! A car plowed in to me in the back. I screamed a bit, then calmed myself down as I turned into the 76 gas station on the corner. Of course, I motioned the car behind me to do the same. I was a little dazed as I parked and looked back to make sure the kids were okay. Other than complaints of tummies hurting because of seatbelts, they were fine. I got out to assess the damage. Other than paint from the other lady's car, I couldn't see anything wrong with the van, but the collision center will be able to take a better look. I wrote the older lady's info down, then sat down when a large contraction came on. I'm five months pregnant, so this is NOT good. I had to run so I could get Fine. So I drove back home, then got on the phone with the AAA agent, who was very helpful. I continued to have sporadic contractions throughout the afternoon, so I decided to head out to labor and delivery after an advice nurse told me to do so. I was there until 9pm last night, but everything looked okay other than a small bruise on my abdomen. My baby boy was movin' and kickin' the monitors... not to mention, swimming around in there (which made it difficult to monitor). So, all in all, I think we're all okay. I'm off to visit the collision center and then go get my neck checked out at the chiropractor. I bought a new carseat for Tekina which AAA will reimburse me for. So, just a small scare.... nothing real bad, but when you're pregnant after having 2 miscarriages, it gets you really uptight and stressed. But I think things will be okay..... luckily. Thank goodness it wasn't THAT bad. It could have been a lot worse!
